The City of Thorold operates six splash pads that are conveniently located throughout the city. They are available daily, for use from dawn until dusk beginning mid-June until September. Splash pads offer residents the opportunity to cool down from the heat of the summer while enjoying their natural surroundings in municipal parks.
McAdam Park Splash Pad
The McAdam Park splash pad is located on Ontario St. in Thorold South. This splash pad features water cannons, ground fountains and bucket dumpers to keep you cool on a hot day. McAdam Park is also equipped with a large pavilion so you can enjoy the whole day at the splash pad - don't forget your towel!

McMillan Park Splash Pad
The McMillan Park splash pad is located on Carleton St. S. across from Thorold Secondary School and below the McMillan Park ball diamond. It boasts bucket dumpers, water cannons, ground fountains and misters. This splash pad is steps away from downtown Thorold.

Port Robinson Park Splash Pad
The Port Robinson Park splash pad is located on River St. in historic Port Robinson. The splash pad is equipped with water cannons, ground fountains, a shower, bucket dumpers and a waterfall. Watch the ships travel through the Welland Canal as you spend the day splashing about.

South Confederation Park Splash Pad
The South Confederation Park splash pad is located between Confederation Ave. and Parkview Dr. in the Confederation Heights area. This floral themed splash pad features ground fountains, flower showers and an archway.
Sullivan Park Splash Pad
The Sullivan Park splash pad is located at the corner of Elgin and Sydenham Sts. This splash pad's unique pirate theme features a water-breathing dragon, ground fountains, a water cannon, a mast shower and archway. Be on the lookout for marauders!
Thorold Community Pool Splash Pad
The Thorold Community Pool splash pad is located within the municipal pool at 111 Richmond St. The splash pad includes an umbrella shower and bucket dumpers; ground fountains bubble up from the beach entry into the pool. Use of the Community Pool splash pad is by paid admission to the pool during public swimming hours.
All municipal splash pads are maintained and operated by the Parks and Recreation Department. If you should find a splash pad that is inoperable or has been vandalized, please contact the Parks Operations Manager at 905-227-1911.
